It is said that when you type the phrase “free website building” in the Google search bar, Google extrapolates a mighty huge list of websites that match that query. At the time of this publication there were an amazing 513 million
results in my search. It is amazing that three small words could turn up so many choices.

What does that tell me? It tells me “free website building” is a popular topic to a lot of people. How do you suppose I came to this conclusion? Well it’s fairly simple really. When I see that many options in a search I know that there must be a great demand for this topic because why else would 513 million web sites be offering “free website building”.

Ok, now that is a lot of sites where do I begin. I visited a number of sites from the search term “free website building” and offers of: free web hosting, free building tools, free web space, you name it there was a lot of free stuff. What if someone wanted to use a free website hosting site to conduct business. It might be ok for someone to put pictures online to share with family but would running a business from a free site be advisable?

I will try to persuade you on two separate reasons.

First thing, have you ever been on a web site that is hosted by a free hosting site? There are banners flashing about that say “you are the one millionth customer” and offers of more free stuff. So I ask you this question.
If you have a business site on this type of platform, do you think that your customers will buy what you have to offer when there is a banner flashing with bright colors offering them something for free?

Have you ever wondered what type of products these banners are trying to offer you? What if you had a business in one of these free sites. Do you think that the powers to be are concerned with what products you are offering? They might even send in a banner ad that directly competes with
your business?

I talk to a lot of people in the industry of online marketing and last year I happened across an individual that was speaking with a few people. This was a social event so I joined the conversation. Someone in the group mentioned a web site that I visited and for some reason or another I remembered the name, something reminded me, I am not sure what it was but anyhow. The person said that if someone has a good idea or their site becomes overly
popular that they (free web site host)have the right to seize it. They said that it falls into some type of corporate protection that the site owner has written in the fine print, apparently this is what you wave when you sign up for a free account.

REMEMBER – So my motto is “you get what you pay for” So in this case you did not pay for the free space so you are legally bound to their rules till you opt-out.

So, what is it that you are looking for when you look for free website building? Do you discontinue the search when you find a site that offers a gift when you sign up. Do you end the search when you find that the space they offer you far exceeds what you will ever use. So what is it? How do you know when to settle with a free web site provider? The decision is strictly up to your discretion.

There are so many sites online that it just boggles the mind. Sometimes there are so many websites trying to sell you something that you could get lost trying to think why you went online in the first place. In my time online I
have found that there are multitudes of knowledgeable, respectable and legitimate website owners online, and their only goal is to deliver a product that is widely sought after for the hungry consumer online.

Just think, the more time you spend online the more experience you will gain in recognizing what is for you and what is not. The increasingly amount of time that you stay online you will anticipate what is around the next cyber
corner. You will begin to become enlightened to the hidden and possible pitfalls from experienced and insightful companies use to entice you to purchase their products.

When you are ready to gain more knowledge in “Free” services online remember to read the fine print because if there was anything that I would choose to remember from my college days where I took a few business courses. It would be that everyone and I mean everyone in business do things for a reason. That reason may be to receive favor from customers or to gain favor from other companies customers. What ever it is, companies expect you to purchase products from them in the backend. It is true where ever you look. You buy a book from a retailer if they are smart they capture your name and send you offers in the mail or by phone.

So remember when you receive “free” services online that you most likely have to loose something to gain something. It could be as small as your name. I hope you had as much enjoyment reading this report as I did writing it.

One of the most overlooked components of listing your auction on ebay is the auction title. Most auctioneers will simply create a title describing the item up for bid. (Well, that seems logical, right?) In most cases, the keywords employed in the title are NOT the popular keywords that ebay buyers even consider searching for. This dramatically reduces the number of hits that a particular auction could receive.

In addition, most ebay clients only search eBay using the TITLES section. THIS IS A MAJOR MISTAKE. Without selecting the checkbox for “in titles and description” option, all of these people miss out on the information returned from the search engine that will scout out their desired search terms in BOTH the auction titles and in the content of the auction descriptions as well.

In fact, nearly 90% of searchers do not select that checkbox.

Therefore, content in the auction description is rendered useless when it comes to receiving auction hits – especially the auction title. More specifically the keywords in the title.

One simple technique that you can employ to increase your ebay auction hits is this:

Include highly sought and relevant keywords in your auction titles. Find these by going to the ebay pulse (pulse.ebay.com) website and browse to your category of interest, then try to include these popular search terms in your auction titles.

In my opinion, a much simpler alternative method for this would be to use a software program called Hot Item Finder (http://www.hotitemfinder.com). This efficient little program contains an analysis tool that returns all the top popular search terms for every category on ebay.com as well as ebay.uk.co. In addition, Hot Item Finder can generate a listing for top selling products and most watched items.

One extremely important and often over-looked function in Hot Item Finder is the keyword search tool. This tool searches the ebay keyword database then returns all relevant popular keywords on ebay.

One very important point that should be made is that eBay has strict rules against spamming keywords in auction titles. So you need to be careful when including popular search terms in your titles so as to avoid your auction from being removed by ebay.

Here is an example. Let’s say you are selling an ebook on how to make money using Google Adwords and you are listing the digital item in the “Everything Else > Informational Products > How- To Guides” category.

In the pulse.ebay.com section for that category the following popular search terms were found when this article was written:

1. make money

2. build

3. sell

4. recipe

5. guide

6. runescape money

7. make

Therefore here are some auction title possibilities:

Title 1: Learn The Recipe for How to Make Money with Google
Title 2: Build & Sell with Google and Make Money Online
Title 3: A Guide to Learn How to Make Money with Google

The best way to find out which title works best is to try them all and keep track of which auction receives the most hits and then stick with the winning title.

The idea is to strategically integrate popular search terms into your auction titles but avoid spamming your titles. What’s this? Simply put, it’s using popular search terms in your titles for items that DO NOT APPLY. Let’s say you are selling a baby doll that is NOT a Barbie doll. The keywords “Barbie doll” and “Barbie” are obviously highly searched keywords, so if you tried the following titles, ebay would consider this spamming:

Brand New Doll better than Barbie Doll

Or

Brand new Exotic Doll not Barbie Doll

Many ebay sellers attempt this. They try to use the negative but according to ebay that is keyword spamming: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/keyword-spam.html and they are caught on it!

The solution to this is you need to be more creative. In the “Dolls & Bears” category on the pulse.ebay.com here are the top ten popular search terms:

1. barbie
2. American girl
3. reborn
4. himstedt
5. kish
6. dolls
7. madame alexander
8. webkinz
9. tyler
10. repaint

Here is a better example for an auction title:

Title: Reborn and Brand New American Girl Dolls

Conclusion:

The idea is to populate your auction titles with popular search terms using the ebay pulse section but avoid keyword spamming at the same time. This can be tricky but highly effective and will dramatically increase your auction hits on ebay.

Additionally, you should test all your titles to find the best performing auction and continue using the ones that produce the highest number of hits and ultimately the highest volume of sales.

Thanks for reading and happy ebaying.

Don’t worry, you’ll learn how to do it all in a way that’s 100% legal — but it’s still like I’ve broken into the safe, broken the code, and let you walk right into the vault yourself.

There is one unquestioned prerequisite for generating income for your web site, and that is a steady flow of website traffic. If no one visits your site, what chance do you have of making any income from your web site. You will just spend months or years just having a hobby that takes your time, and brings you nothing in return.

It takes money to maintain an income generating site, and the saying is true, it takes money to make money. BUT, it doesn’t have to take a whole lot of cash to generate website traffic to your site.

Ever wonder how do the popular sites get their traffic. Most of them are spending lots of money to bring home the traffic, by investing in advertising campaigns and all sorts of marketing schemes. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.

If you don’t really have their resources, you don’t have to do this. There are sufficient ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you can’t afford. So many people have dabbled in high cost methods and ended up losing their shirts.

What follows here, are the top six ways to generate low cost website traffic. And this should result in more revenue for you.

Publish a weekly or monthly Newsletter.

In my view, this is the most important feature to use. This may sound like hard work because of all the writing it becomes necessary to do to keep your readers up to date. Well, honestly it is a lot of work, but absolutely the most significant investment of your time.

Never the less, you can get help in obtaining free articles from other web site owners who want to advertise their site.
This will provide free advertising for them as long as their resource box is kept at the end of their articles.

But I must caution you, you are better off writing your own work, as it increases your credibility. And what is more important than that.

As your newsletter gets passed around and gets increased exposure, you will build an opt-in list of people who like your site, and your news.

Join Online Communities and Contribute to Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your web site. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche as your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are on different subjects. As you build your reputation, you also add respectability to your site, making it a reputable and honest business that will be frequented and trusted by more and more people.

Get Incoming Links to Your Site

This is a proven method that is very important. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one you so that they could produce more public awareness about their own sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having a similar subject as the other site. If you are into Internet Marketing, or any of the sub fields like Affiliate Marketing, Niche Marketing etc, then it makes no sense to have links from sites outside of this arena.

The most important benefit of exchanging links, and preferably obtaining one-way links boosts your site’s importance to Google. Depending of the amount of links, as well as the Page Rank of the links coming in to you, Google should eventually raise your page rank, and have your site appear higher up in search engine results made by surfers.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and submission sites on the internet who are anxious to accept your articles. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but if you need to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself. About the cheapest cost to buy articles written uniquely for you, is about $10. You can get quotations from companies such as Elance.com

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that after they read it, they can respect your knowledge about the subject and become eager to visit your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines relating to the subject or niche of your site.

Try to submit at least one article a week to submission sites. You will find that after you have submitted about 10 articles or more, you will start getting respectable traffic. Submit first to Ezinearticles.com and GoArticles.com. Then after a few days, submit to more sites.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that provides a link to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Fill Your Web Site with good quality Content

Here we go again asking you to do more writing. Why? Well just what do you think a typical surfer is looking for? Good information, well written and easy to understand. This is why you have a web site in the first place, to provide this benefit to your visitors.

Write good content for your site. Search engines track the keywords and keyword phrases your site uses and how they are used. Great quality here is mandatory. Include some links in some of your articles, to products that you are promoting as an affiliate marketer.

Traffic Exchanges

This is similar to exchanging links but on a different level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits by spending time surfing other people’s sites.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so on. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your site’s existence is boosted.

I have to caution you again here. The subject of traffic exchanges is very controversial. It is well documented that most of the traffic exchanges provide little or no benefit.
One that has earned a good reputation is Traffic Swarm and perhaps you should consider it.

So there you have it. Try these methods, and you will be glad you did.

It seems that age is no barrier to winning the National Lottery, once you’re over 16 and old enough to play, that is!

Top Teenage Lottery Millionaires
Teenage millionaires include 16 year olds Tracy Makin (who won £1.1m) and Callie Rodgers (who won £1.8m). Callie discovered her good fortune while dog-sitting for a friend, and said she was literally ‘jumping and screaming’ when she realised she had won. Careful Callie, you might wake the dog!

Top teenage winner to date is Stuart Donnelly, who scooped £1,923,077 back in 1997, when he was just 17. Stuart was working as a lab assistant in Glasgow when he won the cash, and celebrated with a big glass of Coca Cola rather than champagne, as he was too young to legally drink! The canny Scot, however, had one regret; he bought five tickets for the draw. As he said at the time, ‘I could have saved myself £4!’

The Oldest UK Lottery Winners
Great-grandfather Bob Bradley from Wales had decided to stay in rather than celebrate his 83rd birthday at his club, and couldn’t believe his eyes when his numbers came up. Bob won an impressive £3,570,063, his share of a Lotto Double Rollover jackpot in March 2006. However, this octogenarian reckoned he was always a winner ‘I already felt like I had a won the jackpot before that Saturday night – I’ve got good health and a wonderful family. No amount of money can buy that.’

Not that Bob is the oldest UK lottery oldest winner; in December 1999, 87 year old Gracie Vera Coulson won £1,090,387. Better than a pension any day!

National Lottery syndicates breed success!
What could be better than sharing your National Lottery win with all your friends, especially if they’ve won too! One in four National Lottery jackpots are won by syndicates, so why not find some mates and form your own syndicate today?

Most Successful UK Lottery Syndicates
Syndicates have a good track history of winning in the UK lottery, although of course the amount each member gets depends on how many people are in the syndicate! The most successful syndicate to date held the winning ticket to the draw on 10 June 1995. Two friends from Brighton, Paul Maddison and Mark Gardiner, shared the biggest prize in Lottery history, a mind-bending £22,590,829.

National Lottery Winners Keep it in the Family
The Benson family did pretty well too, when they won just over £20 million only a month later. Two former Welsh coalminers won £11.5m on a Wednesday UK lottery draw in July 2006. John Sickerman and John Stinchcombe have been friends for 40 years, and lived next door to each other on the same street until just 10 days before the win. Obviously the Welsh were in luck that week, as on the Saturday draw, a syndicate of ex-police officers won a respectable £136,672 on Lotto.

The Luckiest Syndicate of All?
All sorts of winning syndicates have been formed, from Swan Hunter Shipyard workers, to potters and council workers. Perhaps the luckiest syndicate of all were twelve shop workers in derby, who held one of three winning tickets for the 2005 Christmas Eve Lotto Superdraw. Problem was, in all that Yuletide excitements, they forgot to check their ticket, and it languished in a plastic beaker sitting in the shop. Only when the local paper revealed that a winning ticket was unclaimed in their area did they check the ticket-stuffed beaker, and discovered they had won!

A site hosting is a service that enables you to upload and store a site’s HTML documents and their relative files on a web server. This allows the files to make it available on the World Wide Web and hence permits the public to view them. This welfare service provided to public is called web hosting.

Web hosting often closely associated with domain names. The World Wide Web is a massive collection of web sites. All the sites are hosted on computers called web servers all over the world. The web because of its uniquely global nature, a web site is accessible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. One can pay to have a 24/7 dedicated Internet connection to an in-house webserver. Many people decides to host their sites with a web hosting provider. Web hosting clients simply upload their web sites to a shared or dedicated webserver, which ISP maintains to ensure a constant, fast connection to the Internet.

A server is a special computer where web sites are hosted, and stored. A computer that stores Web documents and makes them available to the rest of the world. The complicated web of servers consists of computer systems installed with Web-server software and connected to the Internet. In any facility with Internet connectivity, these servers can be found. The process of operating and maintaining one of these servers is called Web hosting.

Typically companies are WPPs with one or more data-center facilities that are connected to the Internet. With respect to service quality and cost web hosting provided by WPPs can vary widely. Many providers consist simply of a room in the basement of a house and a tier-1 (T1) line connected to the local ISP. However, others are corporations with state-of-the-art hosting centers comprising of redundant electrical power sources, a dry pipe-fire suppression system, an experienced operations group, available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and redundant fiber paths for high-speed Internet connections.

Types of Web Hosting services are available in all sizes and shapes. It is useful to break down all services into several “classes” in order to understand the most fundamental differences in pricing and functionality. Each “class” speaks the needs of a particular type of customer.

Shared Hosting is the most basic and important of all services. The hosting service providers put several web sites on a single powerful machine.

Dedicated hosting permits a webmaster to rent an entire server. This server is not shared with anybody. This is more flexible than shared hosting (see below), because the webmasters have full control over the server, including choice of operating system, hardware, etc.

Managed hosting is an expanded dedicated hosting service where the web host will manage your dedicated server for you.

Both shared computer environment or on a dedicated computer system, web hosting facility could be provided. Shared hosting service is the best solution when a Web site consists only standard HTML code and receives a small number of visitors. Whereas dedicated hosting service is the best solution when a web site consists of complex common gateway interface (CGI) scripts and proprietary programs and receives a large number of visitors.

‘Do a background check first.’ How many times have we heard that line before? Background checks refer to a search for information regarding the history of an individual. To put it simply, these are ‘quick checks’ on a person’s character. If there is anything negative found on you through personal history checks, you could end up becoming disqualified for a job position or an educational grant or scholarship.

Background Checks – Who’s Checking Up on You?

You may not realize it, but there can be quite a lot of people checking up on you. Potential employers top the list. Companies usually conduct background checks on job applicants primarily as a means to verify the credentials that you may have listed on your resume. Another reason is to check for any criminal record you may have. For instance, a record concerning money may not make you a likely candidate for a financial position in the firm.

Sometimes, landlords also do personal history checks on potential tenants to avoid potentially unruly tenants. Some people even do background checks on people they are dating! But then, in today’s times, one cannot be too careful.

The Source of Background Checks

Personal history checks can dig up negative information through various public records and documents. The most obvious one would be if you have a criminal record but information can also be culled from your driving history and your financial or credit standing. If any red flags are found on these records, it could easily break your chances of getting the job you want, a loan you are applying for or that apartment you are trying to rent.

Of course, personal history checks are not just something that can be done to you. YOU can also conduct background checks yourself. Apart from doing a background check on others, you can also conduct them for companies and institutions. Although information regarding the products and services that a company offers is easy to come by, other details such as the legal and financial status, social standing and reputation may require more effort.

Unfortunately, because there are so many cases of mistaken identities and wrongful arrests, background checks cannot be reliable all the time. Sometimes, you would have to conduct additional research and repeat verification steps to ensure that you have the right information.

Background Checks Infiltrate the Internet

Online background checks have gained popularity primarily because it is much cheaper than hiring a private detective to do it for you. The most obvious route would be to conduct quick and informal personal history checks through free search engines on the Internet. But this method may provide very little information and there is no guarantee as regards the accuracy of the information.

You can, however, find a company that specializes in doing background checks online. Don’t worry; there is hardly any face-to-face communication necessary when personal history checks are online and exchanges can be facilitated through e-mail or online chatting.

There is no additional equipment that needs to be purchased when doing online background checks and you will only be asked to pay a registration fee by these companies. Sometimes in as less as one day to a maximum of three days, you can get the results of your personal history checks already. Some companies even offer you data storage for all the background check inquiries that you have requested from them so that they can be obtained ‘on demand’.

So interested in looking to something or someone? Try and conduct online background checks.

Writing articles and submitting them to article directory web sites should be project numero uno for you in an attempt to build valuable back links to your web site. I think that most of us would agree that traffic to your site is critical, as it determines the success or failure of your site. After all, what is the use in spending all your time and resources building a web site to settle for second best when it comes to traffic? Writing 500 to 1000 word articles is where the real work in promoting your web site come in to play.

Many webmasters have made it a science to simply rehash what is already available on the web. There are very few original thoughts going around the web today when it comes to site promotion. Link campaigns, article campaigns, blogging, etc. are all ways to get your site name and link in front of people. If our site has something important to sell, then the key is getting as many people to visit as possible. Your teaser articles that circulate on the web will achieve the same result as a killer news headline or advertising campaign. This has been proven thousands of times already. They will lure the reader into reading the rest of your article including the all-important resource box, which contains a link to your site. When the reader clicks to your site, this is the first step to a sale. A well-written and relevant article will achieve its purpose over time, but there is a sense of urgency to begin writing articles today in order to achieve any level of success with your online business.

Well-written articles will quickly get picked up by other webmasters or newsletter owners that will graciously publish your work withing their article directory or ezine. On an important note, in order for your articles to have their desired effect, you need to integrate keywords into your articles that are relevant to your site. This will provide more reference weight in the search engine algorithms, such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. Many webmasters and authors seemingly disregard this when putting together articles and they wonder why their site traffic does not increase on the level of their expectations. Having a link in your resource box at the end of your article simply isn’t good enought anymore. Remembering this will help you stay on topic and write purposefully.

Here is something else to keep in mind. When explaining idea or concept in your articles, you need to write it so that a 9 year old could read it and understand it. This holds true unless your purpose is to write a technical article for a niche market. For the most part, you want to make sure to keep your paragraphs short and direct and your language understandable. Also, write as if you where writing to one person instead of many and feel free to spice up your articles up with a quote or a funny remark. With search engines using the links in your articles as one-way links to your web site, please remember to use different keywords every so often to avoid a form of search engine spam. This refers to using to many of the same keywords throughout the text of your article. I always try to target three to four keywords within each article of, say, 600 to 1000 words.

One idea you might consider is using an article writing software package. These are valuable in that they will put text in front of you from which you can use and get some tremendous ideas. If you are not particularly prolific with your thoughts, or the pen for that matter, they can help you along as you are getting started submitting your articles to article directories. There are many of them out there floating around. Spending 50 bucks on a package pales in comparison to the amount of time you have already spent on your site. Right? But I digress…

So there you have it! For those of you who have been wanting to know why your traffic is down, or simply not what you are expecting, take some time to write a couple of articles each week and submit them to article directory web sites. It only takes a minute to register with them and the results, at times, can be overwhelming. Remember, your articles do not need to be flashy or brilliant. They just need to contain proper English with no spelling or grammatical mistakes, using the keywords you have chosen for your topic that are pertinent to the content of your site page. Good luck and please let me know if you have any questions, and by all means, visit our article directory website.

There are hundreds of “gurus” online who want to sell you products for $297, $497, $997 or more that they claim will show you how you can earn a living online.

Don’t buy them. I’m going to show you how to do it all for only $7—and I’m going to give you the scripts that I use to make it happen for free.

Using my new $7 Secrets method, I generated over $3,000 in just 7 days with one thirty page report. Read on to find out how.
Let me tell you what all of the “gurus” are claiming these days—and why they’re all wrong.

You see, the “gurus” of Internet Marketing want you to believe that you have to invest hundreds or thousands of dollars in their products in order to have the knowledge you need to earn a great living online. They want you to think that there’s great hidden secrets that only they have, and the only way for you to get a hold of them is to break out your credit card and start spending loads of cash.

The truth is, there is a hidden secret. The secret is that these guys are scamming people, and nobody seems to know it!

Let me ask you a simple question. Think hard about this question, and apply the common-sense, logical answer against everything you’ve ever been told by the “gurus.” The question is…

Which item do you buy without thinking about the expense: a McDonald’s lunch for one person or a new computer? Two magazines at the newsrack or a new refrigerator? A few gallons of gas, or a plane ticket?

The answer should be obvious. Most people don’t sweat buying something that only costs a few dollars. They just buy it, use it, and throw it away when they’re done. No big deal. Hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people buy items like this every day.

Do you know who the #1 wealthiest company was in the USA in 2006? Exxon Mobil. What does Exxon sell? Gasoline. How do they sell it? One gallon at a time.

Do you know who the second wealthiest company was in the USA in 2006? Wal-Mart. What does Wal-Mart sell? Mostly cheap little items.

Well I’m about to show you how I used the theory of selling one inexpensive item MANY, MANY TIMES to earn over $3,000 in just 7 days.

Imagine, day after day, having dozens or hundreds of $7 deposits in your PayPal bank account, with almost no refunds or customer support—ever. What an easy way to earn a living that would be! You can have that life. I’ll show you how.

To teach you all of this, I’ve created a report called $7 Secrets. It’s a knowledge-packed report that will teach you everything you need to succeed by selling small, informational reports for only seven dollars each.

So you’re looking to start an E-bay Business, are you! With more than 430,000 people in the United States alone working full or part time on E-bay, it may be easier than you think to start an E-bay business.

If you feel E-bay is just for selling novelty items, or a low value trinket type outlet, you should look again. An E-bay business can sell anything from trinkets to antiques all the way to automobiles. Some of the most popular of the thousands of categories are automobiles and auto supplies, consumer electronics, computers, clothes and accessories, books, movies and music.

E-bay was started in 1995 and has become the world’s biggest online auction site, selling all kinds of products and services. There is about 1,000 dollars in sales every second. There are 135 million registered users in 32 countries. So you can see how your E-bay business can have a huge exposure.

Before you start an E-bay business you should decide if you want to be a full time business or just a part time hobby. Do you want to work from your home or set up an outside office to work from? Do you want to work on your own or do you want to have employees? Do you want to become a Power Seller or a Trade Assistant?

Actually, it’s really difficult to decide all those things in advance. But you can set them up as goals in your business plan. It really is best to start small. This way, you can decide if you like the challenges enough to go further. There will be many disappointments, but look at them as the learning process. Make no mistake about the fact that it’s become quite difficult to make big easy profits. So Ok it’s easy to start, but you will work hard to find the key to success.

It is a good idea to practice before officially beginning an E-bay business. It’s advisable to first do a few purchases of some things you could use around the house. Give feedback after a successful buy. Note the different experiences you will have with each different auction. This could teach you a lot before you begin selling.

Then, you can start selling. Try different headlines and descriptions on a small scale. Practice taking pictures and try different listing formats. Just sell one or two items at a time at first to get comfortable and confident. This should improve your chances of success for when you take your E-bay business to the next level.

Getting set up with an E-bay business just takes a few minutes. You will need to fill an application online, and supply your name, address, telephone number, a credit card and or a checking account. This is used for identification, as well as payment purposes.

When setting up your E-bay business you should also open a PayPal account. This is the largest worldwide payment service. PayPal was purchased by E-bay when they saw how popular the payment system became. It allows people to use credit cards or their checking accounts to pay you, as well as simplifying your purchases. The fees are very reasonable, and it eliminates the need to have a costly merchant account.

When you set up your E-bay business, remember to set up your “About Me” page, which is a free E-bay feature that allows you to promote your business and yourself.

When you start your E-bay business and succeed in making regular sales, you may want to register with Federal, State, and local tax authorities. You also may want to form a corporation or LLC to protect yourself from any legal liability.

By now you should have signed up for at least 6 online newsletters specializing in E-bay and Auctions in general. From these, you will discover sources for finding products to sell, and especially, some drop-shippers.

Your E-bay business should now something to specialize in. This can be the most difficult challenge you will face with your E-bay business. You need to pick something that you know about, has a profit potential, and is not hard to photograph or ship. Before you put something up for sale look to see what similar items sold for and ask, can I make money with this? A key point to remember is that what ever you offer must fill a need. You must do your research for every item you consider selling.

If your E-bay business makes your purchasing task simple and uncomplicated, you have a much better chance of success. In other words, if you find a niche, then specialize. This means your E-bay business should sell like items. If you sell CD’s, then having CD racks or players would be a good combination. The more compatible items you have on sale, the better your chances of success. People would much rather purchase what they need from one supplier that they have learned to trust.

After you have gotten comfortable with auction formats, and other aspects of your E-bay business remember not to get complacent. You will want to read about any new features, keep in touch with your customers, and also be aware of what your competition is doing.

Now you’re making enough sales to require you to automate. Don’t underestimate the value of simplifying your work through automation. And, you must keep growing by learning and changing to better formats. That’s the only way to take your E-bay business to its full potential and maximize you’re earning potential. Set your goal to becoming a Power-Seller.
